How long does it take TPG to process the deduction from my refund and deposit it into my bank account?

In my experience this year, TPG is holding my money. It has been 8 days since the IRS approved my refund. TPG is indicating that I should check back with them on May 7 (12 days from now). So, I'm looking at a 20-day turnaround.

If you chose to pay TurboTax with your federal refund, once the IRS reviews and approves your federal refund, the amount is sent to a third-party, who processes the TurboTax fees and the remaining amount is deposited into the bank account you provided. The state refund(s) must be reviewed and approved and will be sent directly from the state(s) (no third-party is involved).

Per the following Santa Barbara Tax Products Group link, https://help.sbtpg.com/hc/en-us/articles/230084467-How-long-does-it-take-to-get-my-refund-:

"How does the Refund Transfer work?

Usually 1 to 2 days before a refund is scheduled to arrive, the IRS sends a pre-notification of the refund amount to TPG.  The IRS does not deposit the money at this time, but it is only a notification that the refund is on its way. We set up the disbursement upon receiving that pre-notification so that the money reaches the taxpayer on the same day it would have if the money was deposited directly from the the IRS into the taxpayer’s bank account."

Does this IRS "Where's My Refund" tool say your funds have actually been sent?
http://www.irs.gov/Refunds

Were you having the refund direct deposited to your bank account directly ?

If the IRS has actually sent the funds, the IRS FAQ page says to allow "up to 5 days" due to variations in bank processing procedures and times.

If so did you enter the correct routing & account number for an ACH transfer ?  Here is how you can see your deposit information:

Your direct deposit information will be at the bottom of your Form 1040.

To view your 1040 after filing, Sign into TurboTax Taxes > Tax Timeline > Some other things you can do Download/print (.pdf)

Please see the following FAQ article below if you entered in the wrong bank account information.

going on 3 months and TPG is saying it will take another 10-12 weeks to process my money back to IRS so they can issue my funds.  1st 3 months saying they could not direct deposit into my account like my weekly checks do, but never sent money back to IRS for proper disbursement until I started to inquire on the funds.  IRS says this is happening to a lot of people that used Turbo tax and use this TPG company to handle the funds.
