How do you track your refund if you mailed it? I tried the irs app but it wasn't working.

It just says the information is incorrect, even though it's the right information.

You do not say how long ago you mailed your return.   It could take weeks after you mailed it for any information to show up on the IRS site.   When they finally open your envelope and enter it into the system you will be able to track your refund on the IRS site.

TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2021 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question. It was helpful. I'm new to filing taxes. Do you also happen to know what the difference is between a state refund, and a federal refund? Does Turbo tax assist with both? Sorry to bother you.

I mailed it out about 2 or 3 weeks ago now. I wasn't sure of how significant the time difference was in processing it by mail or efile.

Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities,  There is no rule as to which one will come first or how much time there will be between their arrivals.

STATE RETURN

Make sure your state return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
