How do I retrieve my unfinished tax data?

I did not finish my return. How do I get back to finish my tax for 2021?

If you haven't efiled or mailed your return or it rejected you can go back in to finish and change anything you want.  Do not click on Amend!

Click on Add a State to let you back into your return.

From Tax Home (the first screen you see after you sign in), scroll down to Your tax returns & documents. You may have to select Show to open the drop down.

I have efiled my federal and state taxes online.  I just want to get to the file so I can print forms to mail to the state for a small amount of money I owe them.

I bought a new computer and forgot to print the forms while I was on the old one.

How do I save and rerieve my unfinshed tax data?  When I close and try to retrieve where I left off the program takes me back to the beginning.

For both TurboTax Online and TurboTax CD/Download products, it saves as you continue through the screens. If it's not allowing you to pick up where you left off, try the steps below:

Can you try the steps provided below to see if that resolves your issue:

  • Log completely out of your TurboTax account
  • Clear cache and delete cookies
  • Then log back in and see if you are still having the same issue

You can also try using a different web browser. Please respond back here if this does not resolve your issue.

Can I save my return and come back later?
