How do I download my 2014, 2015 and 2016 tax return? It is not available because they are older than 7 years.

Since TurboTax only retains online tax returns for the past seven years, any returns prior to tax year 2017 will not be available.  The IRS also only retains tax returns for the past seven years, so those returns will not be available from the IRS.

SAVE YOUR TAX RETURN !

 

EVERY year before mid-October you should save a copy of your tax return as a pdf and print a copy of it for your records.  That way you will not be searching online frantically when you need it for a lender, FAFSA forms, your next tax return, etc.
