How can i change a number after printing but before filing?

If you HAVE NOT actually mailed your Tax Return, you can go back in and change a number after printing by before filing by following these steps:

  • Login to your TurboTax Account 
  • Scroll down to the bottom of your page and click on the blue box "Add a State" (You are not actually adding a state but this gets you to the correct menu)
  • From here, you can click "Federal" from the left side of your screen and then change what you need to change
  • Walk through the "File" section to reprint or E-File after you have made the necessary changes

Your advice isn't working for me in 2020.  There's no "Federal" pick available

@iamthejessica Did you print your return to file by mail and need to make a change? 

If so, you can follow the steps in this FAQ to get you back into your return to make changes and then switch back to file by mail when ready to print and file:
