Hello, I filed @~2/20. I just found an additional 1098-E that I misplaced while filing. Would I need to amend? Or could I wait until next year?

Federal has been e-filed and I have recieved my return. I however, have yet to send my state (by mail).

You are not required to amend your return to add the 1098-E.  Student loan interest deduction could possibly be a benefit for you however the IRS does not require that you report it on your tax return.  If you do decide to amend in order to get the tax break, you have up to 3 years from the date you filed your original return.  You cannot enter the 2016 1098-E on your return next year but you have up to 3 years to amend your 2016 tax return.
