Finding Prior Year Tax Info

When starting turbotax, it does a search for prior year info.  The problem is that multiple files are found including backups.  The box where the file is selected should display the full file name with extension and the full path to the file to avoid confusion.

Please see this FAQ for guidance on finding your tax return from last year.  If you are using TurboTax Desktop, the files are stored on your computer drive.

 

If you used TurboTax Online last year, please see this FAQ for guidance.  Also, make sure you are signed in using the same log in credentials that were used last year to prepare your tax return.
