Does anyone know why the IRS id unable to access information about a return? I have completed all needed steps.

The IRS has no information on where to locate my return even on the designated site to track it they cannot find it.

Was it filed and accepted?

You can check your TurboTax filing status here:

Did you e-file it?  Or did you mail it?  The IRS has not opened its mail for weeks.

How long ago was your e-file accepted?

Sometimes people get confused by the “summary” given by TurboTax and use the wrong amount for the federal refund.  Make sure you are only using the federal refund amount, and not an amount that combined your federal and state refunds.

Your federal refund amount is on line 20 of your Form 1040
