Confirm when taxes owed will be paid

I owed taxes at both the federal and state level. Through TurboTax I entered my bank account info and thought I selected a payment date. That date has already passed and the funds still haven't been taken from my account. How can I confirm that I  either did in fact schedule payment or that I need to re-enter info for payment directly with the government. I don't want to be delinquent but also don't want to pay what's owed twice!

You can view your balance and payments and history here https://www.irs.gov/payments. You will need to create an account if you haven't already.

I e-filed my federal taxes a week ago with a direct debit date for taxes owed of 4-15-20. Since the federal government gave an extension for taxes due until July 15th 2020 can I now change my direct debit date until then? My e-filed return was already accepted by the IRS.

if yes, how do I do it?

I'm in the same boat and would like to know the procedure for changing the date.

In order to modify or change any payments to the IRS, you will need to contact the IRS directly.

You can do so by clicking here and following the instructions.
