Can i use previous Turbo tax file which i wont have access to prior to April 15 to load into my 2020 turbo tax filing after filing an extension thru the IRS.gov site?

I want to use my 2019 turbo tax return file format document (.tax2019) to load into the 2020 return but may not have access to that form before 4/15.  If I file for an extension do i have to file the extension thru my new 2020 turbo tax with that previous file when i launch the 2020 software and if i cant before the deadline will i not be able to use the 2019 file to autofill my previous info so i dont have to do it again.  If i just file the extension directly with the irs.gov and then do the return  later this year will i still be able to use the 2020 Turbo tax software and the .tax2019 file  to autofill much of the document

You can use the 2019 return to upload it into your 2020 return, as it would save you some time entering information. You can do this regardless if you file the extension or not.

Filing the extension is best, as you need to do an extension if the return is not filed prior to the tax deadline.
