Helping my uncle amend his 2023 taxes. He originally filed using TurboTax Online Deluxe, but input the wrong capital loss carryover when switching from desktop. We now need to amend the 2023 return, but TurboTax Online won’t let us upgrade to Premium or access Schedule D to fix the error. He did buy premium for 2024 taxes though, and it's pretty straightforward to update the carry-loss carryover, but we need to update 2023 in order to update 2024.
Is there any way to upgrade the 2023 online return to premium, so that we can e-file the amended taxes? Has anyone dealt with this?
Follow the instructions in this link under the section TurboTax Online for guidance on how to amend your 2023 tax return. You may need to download the TurboTax Desktop software if you need additional forms to file the amended return.
