Can I fix the dates in my amended return from 2022 to 2021? Because my W2 is from 2021 not 2022. And when I filed my return it was filed under 2022 not 2021 I need help

I called the IRS to get help but they told me to amend my return in which I did but they said to fix the dates from 2022 to 2021 because the W2 I'm filing for is for 2021 so it's not being accepted and given to me.

You will have to amend the 2021 tax return.

The TurboTax online editions are only for tax year 2022.

And If you filed it on your 2022 return you also need to amend 2022 to take it off.   Or amend 2022 a second time if you filed an amended 2022 to add it.
