I have e-filed my federal and Montana state tax returns and both have been accepted. I get refunds for both returns.
I would like to amend my Montana state return since I have an additional $1200 contributed to 529 funds for my granddaughters which I didn't include in the original submission.
I have not received the refunds shown in the original submissions.
What is the best way to go about this? Should I wait until I get my refunds?
Yes. Wait until your original return is completely processed.
