Amend Taxes said Feb 15, Now 22?

i received another W2 that I forgot about, after i had already submitted my taxes. I have already received the first refund through direct deposit into my bank, but now need to amend my tax return to add this W2. First it said Feb 15th I would be able to amend my tax return now its the 22? Unsure why it moved back a week. Any help or insights are appreciated thanks!

It depends on various reasons, however it will be ready soon and you have lots of time.

By using the link, Tax Forms Availability, you can continue to check to see when it's ready. If you decide you do need to amend use the steps in the link below. Read all of the instructions first so that TurboTax knows the original numbers and the changes.

Be sure to check your state rules as well.

Additional tips below will be helpful when you begin. If you want to make changes or add a document to a tax return that has already been filed and accepted by the taxing agency, you should follow these guidelines.

  • You must first wait until the initial return is completely processed.
  • You will have to use the same TurboTax account that you used for the original tax return.
  • Once you begin your amendment, you'll see your original return.
  • The refund calculator will start new at $0 and only reflect the changes in the refund or tax due
  • Only make changes to the areas of your return that need to be corrected.
  • You have three years from the date you filed your return or two years after you paid the tax due (whichever is later) to file an amendment

Select your product below and follow the instructions.
