I got the following email below, does anyone know what I should do ?
At TurboTax, we are committed to helping you get your maximum refund and ensuring your return is filed with 100% accuracy. Unfortunately, we were recently notified about an issue that affects the accuracy of your 2019 tax return. When you imported your W-2 form, missing or incomplete data was transferred by UltiPro, your employer's W-2 payroll provider, into your 2019 tax return.
We have worked with them and resolved this issue for the future; however, you will need to take steps to ensure that you filed an accurate tax return. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and will be there to walk you through the process every step of the way.
You may need to amend your tax return to update the information in box 12 of your W-2. In order to determine whether you need to amend, you will need a copy of your W-2. If you have information in box 12, you may need to amend your return.
If you do need to amend, we expect that the software will be ready in early March. We will reach out to you when it is available with detailed instructions. We will also have a team of support specialists available to help you get this resolved.
This means you should gather your w-2 from your employer, and compare box 12 to the information on your tax return within Turbo Tax.
If the w-2 matches what is on your return within Turbo Tax, then You DO NOT need to amend.
If the w-2 is different than that is within Turbo Tax, then you WILL NEED to amend.
If you do need to amend your return, please follow the instructions here to amend your return.
