2019 Federal Tax return missing schedule A and schedule 2 from report in turbo tax file saved.

Preparing my tax return for 2020 and it asking for some information contained on Schedule A and Schedule 2 of my 2019 Tax return, but when I checked my saved copy of my 2019 tax return to retrieve the info required for input into my 2020 tax return, these two forms were not in the file. Is there a reason why these two forms were not saved along with the other documentation.

If they were not used they would not be in the file ... if you are being asked for something that doesn't exist keep going.

What are you entering?

A State Tax Refund is taxable if you itemized deductions on that prior year's federal return and took a deduction for state income taxes instead of the sale tax.  You got a deduction benefit for it so now you have to include it as income. If you took the standard deduction it is not taxable and you don't need to report it.

You need to check your 2019 1040 line 9 to see which deduction you took.  How much is on line 9?
