How to update Mac OS X

To check for Mac OS X updates, follow these steps. You must be connected to the internet.

1. Go to the Apple menu and select About This Mac.
2. Select Software Update.
3. Select Check Now or Show Updates.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to install updates.
