The state of Colorado isn't ready to start accepting e-filed tax returns.

You can e-file your Colorado tax return with TurboTax on January 30, 2025. We'll hold your state return until Colorado starts accepting returns the week of February 14, 2025. As soon as Colorado is ready to accept returns, we'll automatically transmit your return.

Will my state refund be delayed?

If you e-file now, we'll make sure to transmit your Colorado return as soon as the state will accept them. Refund processing times after that are determined by the Colorado Department of Revenue.

Does this affect my federal return or refund?

No. This doesn't have any impact on your federal return or refund.

Are business tax returns delayed as well?

Yes. The ability to e-file business tax returns in Colorado is delayed until February 11, 2025.
