by TurboTax•2384• Updated 2 weeks ago
Follow these steps to file an extension for your business tax return in TurboTax Business:
- Open your return, select Search, and enter extend.
- Select Jump to extend.
- Select Extension of time to file (Form 7004) and Continue.
- Follow the instructions to prepare and print your 7004 form. This form cannot be e-filed. We'll provide the mailing address and any payment instructions.
Your new extension deadline depends on your business type:
- Partnership income (Form 1065) and S corporation income (Form 1120S) taxes are due September 16, 2024.
- Estates and trusts income (Form 1041) taxes are due September 30, 2024.
- Corporation income (Form 1120) taxes are due October 15, 2024.
- Unless the fiscal year ends June 30, in which case your return is due September 16, 2024, and the extension gives you until April 15, 2025 to file.
