How do I request a refund for my TurboTax product?

by Intuit Updated 6 months ago

Wondering if you qualify for a refund? It could depend on which product you’re using.

Read more to learn if you qualify, and we’ll be happy to help.

You can request a refund for TurboTax Desktop products using the form below. Only purchases made directly through TurboTax (including TurboTax Advantage) or through one of our authorized retailers/resellers qualify for our 60-day money-back guarantee.

TurboTax Online can be used at no cost up until the point that you submit payment. Once payment has been received, the product is considered to have been used to prepare your taxes, regardless of whether you print or electronically file your return, or if it's rejected.

Submitting payment reflects your satisfaction with TurboTax Online preparation of your taxes, and is non-refundable.

Here are three scenarios where a refund would be warranted:

  • You accidentally selected and paid for the wrong state.
  • You are seeing duplicate charges.
  • The product has a known defect that can't be fixed by moving to TurboTax Desktop or that occurs before a filing deadline.

After reading this, if you still believe you qualify for a refund, you can use the form on this page.

Note: If you made a purchase through an app store (such as Google Play or Apple's App Store), you'll need to request a refund directly through the same app store.
