What is the Premium Services package?

Premium Services is an optional add-on package for any paid version of TurboTax Online with a California address that hasn't added MAX.

Here’s what's included:

• Annual Audit Defense—Confidently handle an audit by the IRS with a dedicated expert who will represent you and communicate with the IRS on your behalf. TurboTax®, in partnership with TaxAudit, will take care of everything, including:
  • Developing a plan of action
  • Following up with the IRS
  • Preparing IRS documents for you
  • Representing you in all IRS meetings

• Full Identity Restoration—If you experience personal identity fraud, a dedicated Resolution specialist will help save you time by taking on the responsibility of recovering your identity. If you’re filing jointly, both the primary and secondary filer and their dependents are covered.

• Identity Theft Monitoring—If suspicious activity related to your personal identity is detected online, you’ll be notified promptly, and a Dedicated Restoration Specialist can help you quickly react to protect your identity. If you’re filing jointly, both the primary and secondary filer are monitored.

• Identity Theft Insurance—Get reimbursed to recover stolen funds and pay for legal fees and expenses caused by identity theft. If you’re filing jointly, both the primary and secondary filer are covered.

• Priority Care—If you need help now, you'll have a shorter wait time to connect to a TurboTax specialist if you need help with your taxes.
• Included—The option to pay with your refund. We can deduct your TurboTax fees from your federal or state (if applicable) refund (whichever comes first and is large enough to cover your total TurboTax fees), and send the balance to your bank account.

When purchased between November 1, 2024 – April 15, 2025, coverage lasts from the date purchased through April 30, 2026. When purchased between April 16, 2025 – October 31, 2025, coverage lasts from the date purchased through October 31, 2026.
