How do I add a W-2, W-2c or other form after I've already filed?
If you received another form like a W-2 or W-2c (Corrected Wage and Tax Statement) after filing your tax return, or you forgot to add something before you filed, you can still update your return.
Check if the IRS or your state has accepted what you already filed. If the IRS or state has accepted it, you'll see Accepted as the status of your tax return when you sign in to TurboTax (in Tax Home) or when you open the TurboTax Desktop software.

What happens if I forgot to add my W-2, W-2C, or other forms to my return?
Omitting something like dependent information, an allowable deduction, or even just using the wrong filing status can make your refund/amount due or other IRS records inaccurate. You should correct (amend) the deficiency and submit it to the IRS or state.
Can I skip a W-2 and file it next year?
If you don't include a current-year W-2 on your current-year tax return, you can't wait and include it on next year’s return. Each tax year is filed separately and reports the income earned in that calendar year only.
To report a missed W-2 after your tax return is filed and accepted, you’ll need to amend your return with Form 1040-X and add the W-2.
