You have my 2023 info, not my 2024 W2 information and it won't let me delete it and it's showing i have a lapse in insurance because it. This needs fixed NOW

You have my 2023 w2 showing as last year, when it should show 2024 and now when i go to upload my 2024 w2, it's saying i have an insurance lapse and it's affecting my return!!!

Delete all the w-2s you have entered and then re-enter the correct 2024 w-2.   TurboTax will show you the amount of prior year income categories on the summary screen, but there are no 2023 tax forms entered - only the totals from last year's return are shown.

The lapse of coverage message is coming from your HSA entries - and you only need to enter information in that section if you have an HSA account.   In order to contribute to an HSA account, you must have a high deductible health insurance plan (HDHP).   Not all health insurance plans are high deductible plans and not everyone has an HSA account.

After your w-2 income is correctly entered, go back through the HSA questions again.   Search for HSA and use the Jump to link to get back there.

TurboTax will prepare Form 8889 if you have any HSA contributions or distributions.
