You asked
I filed last year with Turbotax on Jan 18. My AGI on my 2019 with Turbotax reads $12,725. This is the second rejection I have gotten using this number. Can you help me?
Your AGI may be incorrect. Please see this Turbo Tax FAQ on how to find your AGI from last year.
If you are certain you entered the correct AGI, and keep getting rejected, you are most likely the victim of the infamous TT Wrong API bug. TT will probably tell you to file a paper copy and claim this is an IRS issue. It is not. The bug is in TT, and they refuse to acknowledge it.
This happened to me last year. I was expexting a large refund and didn't want the long wait you get when filing by snail mail. On a whim, I tried FreeTaxUSA. To my surprise, my return (same info, same AGI) was accepted within minutes and my refund arrived quickly. Many others with rejected TT returns did the same and had the same happy experience.
I am not affiliated with FreeTaxUSA in any way; I'm just a person who wants my refund as soon as I can get it and can't stand BS!
Oh, and by the way, I heard of a few people who entered 0 for their AGI and were accepted, but this didn't work for me and most others.
Or try using 0 for the AGI. If 0 doesn't work you will have to print and mail your return. Did you efile 2019? Was it Accepted?
The AGI is on 2019 1040 line 8b. If you filed a Joint return you use the same AGI for each spouse.

>If 0 doesn't work you will have to print and mail your return.
***NO, THIS IS NOT TRUE. Here is the accurate statement:***
If 0 doesn't work, you cannot efile with TT because of a TT bug. You will either have to print and mail your return or use another efile program that does not have this bug. Many have used FreeTaxUSA and were quickly accepted using the same AGI.
Thanks for the help. Beleive it or not I entered 0 and it accepted it . Thanks again, Dawn R
