Yesterday I gave my Checking account # to pay for my taxes. Why are they asking for my Debit card?

I only have a Debit card and I would rather pay with my Checking account

If you filed through TurboTax yesterday and got confirmation numbers, this situation sounds like fraud to me. Do not give up your debit card information. The debit card is tied to you checking account and the fraudsters will drain it.
