I just noticed the 1099-mics given by my employer has my incorrect ssn. However, the amount in box 7 is correct. I have informed my employer about the error. Do I have to wait for them to send me the corrected one before file my return? Or can I go ahead file the Federal return? Since I don't know how long it'll take to receive the corrected one. I don't want to miss the filing deadline. Thank you.

You can go ahead and file since the amount will now change, just the number. Just make sure that they do send the corrected form to You and to the IRS. Otherwise, the SE tax will apply to that incorrect SSN, and not yours.
