Would Turbo Tax have sent me an email about my checking acct. Stating Turbo Tax was trying to get it to me & that I need to give them my info again to confirm my acct?

This is in regards to this 2nd stimulus payment.

Don't ever respond to an email or text requesting personal financial or account information. Always a scam.

yes this is another attempt by Turbotax to expedite your payment if you did not get it yet.

I got a similar email today.

Titled CRITICAL STIMULUS UPDATE: Update your stimulus payment direct deposit information.

It looks really authentic, links work and everything. It seems odd that they would ask for this information via email.

(no changes made to bank info).

The IRS sent the refunds to the processing bank by mistake and the processing bank is desperately trying to reach you using asap using the contact info they have on file for you.  If they cannot process the payment by 1/15 they must return the money to the IRS so that you can apply for the credit on the 2020 tax return.   It is up to you  ... if you did use the processing service and your bank account has changed then you can update your info by the date given.   Otherwise you can simply apply for the missing money on the return.
