Will Turbotax software allow me to efile if there is a foreign taxes paid in column P of Form 1116

I moved out of US  in 2024 and still considered a resident alien (non US citizen), and need to report foreign earned income and take a foreign tax credit as I am not eligible for FEIE .

Since the taxes paid is for wages/salary, I need to mention the foreign taxes paid in column P(other) and not in dividends, rents & royalties or interests column. I used HR Block 2024 desktop software and when I went to e-file, it says I cannot e-file as there is a foreign tax paid in column P. I am not in the US, so cannot file paper return and need to do an efile.

Will Turbotax software allow me to do an efile for Federal + State. I don't want to buy the software and be stuck again if it doesn't allow me to efile.

Thanks

You should be able to Efile by reporting your foreign income and the foreign tax paid on it in the Foreign Tax Credit section.

Page through the questions about dividend/interest income until you reach a screen asking about 'other types of foreign income' and choose 'general'.  You'll enter a country, amount of income, amount of tax paid, date paid.

This is for the tax credit; you'll still need to report the income in the Income section.  If you didn't receive a W-2, you can report it as 'Other Miscellaneous Income'.

Scroll down to Miscellaneous Income, 1099-A, 1099-C, then on the next page, scroll down to Other Reportable Income.  Enter a description and amount.
