Will the government shutdown affect the extension filing? Will it still accept turbotax filing during shutdown?

This can lead to delays in processing passports, tax returns, and Social Security benefits. National parks, museums, and monuments may also close, affecting travel plans and recreational activities.

Great questions!  Intuit staff do not have access to information regarding the shutdown.  If that would happen guidance would  be issued from the IRS regarding how they will handle filing of income tax returns.
