Will my progress in TurboTax be saved even after I file an extension so I only have to make a correction where it applies?

Hello, I started my taxes and almost completed it, but had to apply for an extension. Will all of the progress I made be saved even after I file an extension and get an approval?

Yes.  All of the information you entered on the online account is saved as it is entered.  You can sign off at an time and return to the account to continue the return.

 

Note - You must access and e-file your online tax return on or before October 16, 2023.  If not, you cannot e-file your 2022 tax return and the online editions shut down at the end of October so you would have to use and pay for one of the TurboTax desktop editions to complete and mail your tax return.
