Why won't TurboTax Windows DESKTOP version restart where I left off with my return?

Earlier versions of TurboTax Windows Desktop would reopen my return to the exact place I left off. This year, whenever I restart the program it takes me to the very beginning and starts with the interview questions. Lots of fun if you've been working on the return and are nearly done with it. I'm using the latest update (v. 2024.47.21.33).

Does anyone know how to make this work?

I get the same thing but only after I have done an upgrade. If I just open the program without doing the upgrade it opens where I left off. To get back to where you left off just click on the tab at the top of your screen to the section  where you left off and then click continue till you get to the page where you left off.

I figured out how to get back to where I was, as you described. Could be caused by an update. Which shouldn't matter, IMHO. I'm sure that earlier years just took you back to where you were, update or not. Sigh. Thanks.

 

PS. Just trying to find relevant material in these forums (including this thread) has been a challenge too.

Once you file your return, as long as the settings to receive communication from Intuit don’t block it, you will see a pop-up message or receive an email with a survey asking you about your experience. We encourage you to leave your notes and comments there. “Voice of the Customer” notes and comments are read and acted upon.

 

If you are using TurboTax Desktop, you can also leave feedback at the Final Steps tab:

This issue has not been resolved.  I should not need to hunt and peck for where I was. One star rating based on just this.  Please fix this bug.  Prior years did not ahve this issue.

@KeshaH, I'm not sure what (if anything) was the point of that. What does it have to do with my issue? Or are you just saying that the forum is not the place for reporting issues, because no one from Intuit is paying attention to feedback here?

WHY DOES THIS FORUM EXISTS!!!!!!!!  No body seems to care.  This is a huge bug in my opinion.  I wish everyone at Intuit had all their apps and programs reset to their first login every use to experience our frustration.  Love how after an update in addition to losing your progress they mark the button for my current return "continue."  They have no clue!
