No, one state and one federal. I have to pay in, and also had to pay $108 just to file my state return? Last year I was charged $39.99. I used the same turbo tax.
It's $59.99 for Federal, plus $39.99 for state, plus sales tax. So $108 total sounds right.
When using TT online, there is no filing fee. The charge is for the use of the software to prepare the returns. TT must pay its employees, and cannot give everyone everthing for free.
In the regular Turbo Tax Free Edition, information that you can enter is limited now. Under the new tax laws, there are no more simple Form 1040EZ or 1040A's. Everything goes on a little Form 1040 that has six extra "schedules" with it, and if you need any of those schedules, you are not able to use the Free Edition.
