Why wants' it let me do my taxes for free?

Their is no button on the screen to do it for free.

Or—-Use this IRS site for other ways to file for free.  There are 8  free software versions available from the IRS Free File site

My son encountered a filing on line for free problem. In his case it was the old story of Charlie Brown with Lucy and the foot ball. Someone always pays for free filing of a uncomplicated filing on TurboTax. When the data you file exceeds a certain complexity, you will be billed for the service. Remember "Nothin' for nothin'". The real question is: Why would someone pay to supply some of the public a "free" service?
