Why is Turbotax asking me to file in two states?

Both me and my spouse have full time jobs in MD. My spouse also has a part time job in VA. In previous years Turbotax only asked me to file a MD tax return. This year it is asking for both MD and VA. How do I correct this?

Because Maryland and Virginia have a reciprocity agreement, you only pay state tax to the State you *live* in. You should file a MD 502 Resident Tax Return.

The only reason you need to file a Virginia return is if your spouse's Virginia Employer withheld Virginia income taxes from their pay.  If this is the case, you will need to file a Form 763-S Virginia Special Nonresident Claim For Individual Income Tax Withheld in order to receive that withholding back as a refund.
