Why is TT not treating my overpayment of FICA taxes from one EIN, but agent for 2 separate companies as a credit tax credit? I don't believe I should have to file an 843

TT is working on the issue.  The question is when you file will the IRS realize you worked for 2 different companies since the w-2's have the same EIN. hopefully, they will see that the employers names are different. but remember this is electronic processing.   extremely bad idea for the IRS to require same EIN because it is the same paying agent.

This issue hasn't been resolved and is occuring for me as I'm trying to get details entered as well.  How should one handle this issue in TurboTax?  (e.g., force it to handle a single EIN as two companies).
