Why is it saying $80 instead of the $40 fee I choose?

There is an additional charge for state taxes with all products, except Free Edition. https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online/

Also, if you elect to pay your TurboTax fees with your refund, there is a fee for that as well.

They just tried to charge me $39.95 extra to have my state e-file fee taken out of my return instead of using a credit card.  This is the first time I've seen this, they used to just take the fee out of your return at no extra cost.  Just another way for TTax to rip you off.  Use a credit card and you won't have to pay this fee.

I know that there is a additional charge for state e-filing,  BUT, there is an additional charge on top of that for $39.95 if you want to pay the state filing fee with monies from your return, instead of using a credit card.  That is a new thing that hasn't been done before and it's a rip-off of your customers!
