Entering the Box 14 information about your Restricted Stock Award should not affect your income tax return or your refund.

I just tried a test entry with desktop TurboTax Premier and entering an amount labeled "Other - not on above list" didn't affect a thing.  Go back and look at that.

This answer was not satisfactory .  if you care to coordinate a screen share I will show you. I change box 14 as prompted just before E-filing. I also went back and tried to remove from my income section .  Each time it has changed. My W2 was automatically downloaded.

I'm a user, like you, so you probably don't want to screen share with me.

Why don't you simply delete the W-2 and manually enter it?  As I said, I did a test W-2, leaving something I named "Restricted stock" to the tune of $7,000 to the last and selected "Other - not on above list" and nothing changed on the Refund - O - Meter.  Then I deleted the Box 14 entry, and nothing changed.  Since I'm using the same desktop program you are using it's hard to believe we'd get different results.

So I'm just guessing that something funky in the file that was imported might be the issue.
