Why does TurboTax say my Oregon return has a tax situation that cannot be e-filed?

To clarify, does your return specify why it can't be electronically filed?

Turbotax did NOT say what the "tax situation" was that prevented my STATE e-filing. That's why I posted my question to this forum. When I dug further, I discovered there was NOTHING preventing the e-filing of my STATE return! Rather, due to a shortcoming of Turbotax (inability to do Schedule R), it could not file my LOCAL return.  I finally partially worked around this by deleting my local return from my Turbotax.  (I hope Intuit corporate appreciates the unpaid work I am doing to help debug their system.)

In the future, you can check to see if your local return is covered.
