Why does turbo tax project a huge balance due for next year when I've never had to pay before. Nothing has changed

Did you complete the estimated taxes section and enter something in by accident that doesn't belong?

 

If the program is producing 1040-ES forms and you don't need them then simply ignore them ... they are not sent to the fed/state when you file so they have no idea about them.
