Why does my Ally Bank 1099-INT import only one account and not the consolidated value?

I have tried manually entering but continues to make me review the entry and never confirms I have provided what is needed. Importing directly from Ally Bank in Turbo Tax only pulls one account and not all account interest

I believe this is a safety feature in Ally Banks programs.  They cannot be sure whether there are individual filings for married couples for some accounts that are consolidated, so they separate each account for everyone as one account might be under one name and SS# and another might be for a different name and SS#.

That's a historic issue with the way that ALLY has structured their 1099-INT tax, import files.

Not sure why the software is continually asking you to review...but you could just edit the one 1099-INT that does import, and make the $$ match the total-combined amount that shows on the final page of your ALLY paper/PDF 1099-INT

There is an another annoying issue with the Ally download when using the "Online" software.  You get the following, and to clear it up you have to mess with almost every box....as shown below:

It would be best to follow the instructions here to manually enter the 1099-INT into Turbo Tax. @mchahin4
