Why does interest from sale of EE bonds show as 0.0 in box1 and doesnt show in box 3

Why does interest from EE bonds keep showing as 0.0 in box 1 and doesnt reflect interest in box 3 under add an investment 1088 INT

box 1 and box 3 are completely separate. box 1 is for taxable interest for US and state purposes while box 3 is only for US government interest that is not taxable by the states.
