Why do I have a code of 2b under December in my 1095C when I was full-time for that month with my employer? Do I need to get a correct one?

Is that a mistake? Should I have it corrected?

Laid off from full time work July 31; lost insurance.  I started employment with the employer August 2021. Insurance started with new employer November 2021.

In line 16, my codes starting from August 2021, is 2D 2D 2D 2C 2B (December).

Also, in Line 14, it says 1E for November but 1H for all the other months, even December.

@dippinb  Does your employer not count Christmas vacation as full employment maybe?  If you were full time you could request a corrected 1095-C.  It should not effect your tax return, though.

Thank you.  December holidays was only Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  I didn't even get New Year's eve.  No way it cannot be considered full-time.

Ah so if I do nothing, it shouldn't affect me.  All that matters.

You do not need the 1095-C for your tax return. You don't enter it anywhere.

So I can just ignore the mistake that my employer did on the 1095C?

Form 3853 does ask which months I was covered for health insurance.   I indicated I was covered for health insurance for December while the 1095C says otherwise.

Yes, as long as you report the months that you had health insurance, you won't have any problems due to the exact entries on your 1095-C.
