Why did my forms to be mailed in not generate after e-filing?
After filing turbo tax instructed that there would be forms to mail in with instructions on what and where to send the forms. No forms were actually generated past a generic summary of our return.

Then, there were no forms required to be mailed to the IRS. E-filing usually covers the complete filing of the returns unless there are attachments.

Thank you. Is this true for state returns as well? The summary that was generated has our state return info on it.

Yes, that's true with the state as well. The only time you have to mail something in is if you have a required paper attachment. If your summary doesn't clearly state what needs to be mailed, there isn't anything to mail in.
