Why did my ex husband's name show up on my return when we've been divorced for 3 years? There was no way to remove his name, it just kept showing up. I filed single.

In the personal info, there was no spot for his name. I set that I was divorced, as I have been for 3 years now. And for some reason his name kept popping up in some questions and in the review. There didn't seem to be any way to change it.

There is not a way to remove his name from the return. You need to set up your own new account and not transfer from the prior year.

Do not transfer info from the previous year. Just start a brand new return 🙂 Hope this helps
