You need customer support in order seek a refund of the state e-file fee. Meanwhile, if you just cannot e-file the state then print it and mail it. You are on a Mac. It is easy. Open up the return. Go to the top of your screen just to the right of the little "apple" Click File and then Print. You can choose what return you want to print--federal or state. They will both be clicked. If you only want to print state, then unclick federal and print out the state return.
How old was she at the end of 2018? If she was not 16, she cannot e-file.
Was the return rejected? What was the rejection message or rejection code?
What kind of error message is it giving? What happens when you try to e-file?
You are posting from desktop software--have you used up all of your five federal e-files by chance?
no message It goes blank I only did 2 federal e-files. I use a disc I get in the mail every year.
