Why are the 1040 standard deductions different from the 1040-SR ones? The forms seem otherwise identical. So they should be the same on both.
Is IRS hoping over 65 people don't pay attention to the differences and use the 1040 since that's what they're used to filing? I've not seen the SR form until this year.

There is absolutely no difference in the forms or calculations being used on a Form 1040 or a Form 1040SR.
The Only difference between the two forms is the size of print. The print is larger on the Form 1040SR, that's it.
