Why are My "TurboTax Fees" showing up as $150 for self-employed, not $70-90 as advertised

These prices are under "Tax Tools"

@pscrosby

Are you using regular Self-Employed or "Live Self-Employed?"   Under your question above it says "Live Self-Employed."   Is that indeed the product you are using?   And are you preparing both Federal and state returns?

Regular Self-Employed is currently discounted at $90 for a Federal return and $40 for a state return.

Live Self-Employed is currently discounted at $170 for a Federal return and $50 for a state return.

(NOTE:  Prices increase in March if not locked in before then by either filing or paying in advance.)

What all exactly is showing up when you go to Tax Tools, then Tools, then MY FEES?

NOTE:  If you choose to pay TurboTax fees out of the Federal refund, there is an additional $40 service fee ($45 for California filers.)    You avoid that extra fee by paying upfront with credit/debit card.   If you chose that option, we can tell you how to remove it.
