Why are Charities from 2023 not imported into 2024? Like 1099-INT and other income sources. They used to be before and I just had to enter amounts.

Are you using TurboTax Online? TurboTax Desktop does remember and display the charity name information from the previous year if you transfer the data. You may prefer using a Desktop product if you like this feature.

A number of features will carry over in TurboTax Online if you use the same account from year to year.

I am reporting the issue you reported for consideration for future updates.

Thank you. I have always used TurboTax online (same account for the past many years) and will not be using the Desktop version.

The Charitable Contributions were always carried over, just like 1099-INTs and other incomes. I was queried for each income and deduction from prior year's taxes when doing next year's taxes. This time (for the 2024 TurboTax online), the 1099-INTs etc. from the 2023 taxes were carried over but the itemized deductions (specifically charitable contributions) were not. It's a pity that functioning and useful features from prior years get excluded in 'future updates'.
