Why am I being charged twice for paying my $34.99 fee with my refund?

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund it will result in being charged a Refund Processing Fee. That is most likely the other $34.99 charge. If you see a charge listed something like 'deduct fees from refund fee', that is it. You can pay with a credit or debit card and avoid the extra charge (see how to remove the Refund Processing Fee below)
