Why am I being asked about amortizing startup costs when I have none?

Please give us a few more details.

  • Do you have a schedule C?
  • Did you start the business in 2021?
  • If started before 2021 were there start up costs then?

One business I did start in 2021, the other I did not. 

There were NO startup costs for either business.

Are you asking if TurboTax is creating a Schedule C for me? If so, I think so but I can't see what it is doing at this point.

If you have no start up costs, then you can just skip that question.  If it is giving you an error, then enter 0 or 0.00

Once I continued on a PC and could see the whole screen at once I just started entering the 0 values / info and it continued on as it should and let me finish. Just couldn't see what it was doing on my phone screen.
